Music Camp 2007

Arcadia High School's 50th Annual Music Camp will be held from Sunday, August 26th through Friday, August 31st at Idyllwild Pines and Camp Maranatha, Idyllwild. This is the single most important activity the Arcadia Music Club offers our band, orchestra, color guard and percussion students each year. Hours of instruction from individual instrument teachers, the color guard instructors and marching techs give our students an important head start on the school year and the competition season. Students also bond as a musical team and learn leadership skills that cannot be taught in a classroom. Arcadia's programs are widely recognized because of the good work we do that begins at camp. Students enrolled in Band and Orchestra for 2007-08 school year should have received their Registration Package. Register today!! Click on the links to download the registration brochures for Band and Color Guard and Orchestra.

Orchestra Sweeps 2007 Heritage Festival

During Spring Break, under the tutelage of Directors Tom Forbes and Rick England, 190+ members of Orchestras I, II & III traveled to compete against dozens of schools and thousands of students at the Heritage Festival in Orlando, Florida. Divided into two groups, Arcadia won in every category entered, including the four top prizes: Festival Sweepstakes, Outstanding Orchestra Group, Sweepstakes Award - Instrumental, and Adjudicator's Award. Jeremy Jong also won an individual Concert Master Trophy. The group then performed at Disney World. Besides many awards, the students also earned a Coast-to-Coast reputation, and many unsolicited compliments, for their maturity, courtesy and responsibility. They sure made us proud.
