Orchestra Benefit Dinner Pictures are online |

The 11th annual Arcadia High School Orchestra
Benefit Dinner was held on Saturday, February 26 at the Arcadia Community
Center. This fund-raising event themed
– “Lights, Camera and Music” was attended by more than 300 people where they
enjoyed a multi-course dinner catered by La Grotta di Capri. To add to the ambience, the
Community Center was magically transformed into a glamorous
“Hollywood” stage with decorations created by Susan Lai.
The evening began with student ensembles playing various
pieces on a stage set in the center, much like the Disney Hall in
LA. Special guest artists were three
members of the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra.
They played on period instruments as well as on “modern” instruments –
violin, viola and cello. The evening’s
highlight featured all Orchestra students who surrounded the audience
performing their finale.
Many thanks for the evening go to the Orchestra students,
Music Directors Tom Forbes & Rick England and the parent volunteers. This 11th Benefit Dinner was
graciously chaired by Charlen Chien and Evelyn Yen who made this fund-raising
event memorable as well as successful.
Kudos to all! Click the title to see more pictures.
